'Regarding Henry' Starring Harrison Ford

Written by Jeffrey Abrams and directed by Mike Nichols, Harrison Ford plays a successful (and douchey) Manhattan lawyer who sustains a frontal lobe injury - like me! (Except he hurt his right frontal lobe and I hurt my left frontal lobe, but details). Dr. Herman, my physiatrist, there with me from week one of the coma, recommends this movie to anyone who wants to understand a smidge of brain injury. In fact, Dr.Herman and I would agree that the entire public should watch this film to understand brain injury a bit better.

This film does an excellent job of showcasing the change in family dynamics & relationships that brain injury can present, the realignment of morals, and the financial burden an extreme health situation presents. Most importantly, it shows how after sustaining a brain injury, a patient thinks different from how they used to, wanting other things out of life and to be a different energy.
